Sitting up...

Liam is doing really well and sitting up now by himself. He still tips over now and then but for the most part he's mastered sitting.

Weekend fun with Liam!

We had a nice weekend with some more snow and lots of entertaining. Yesterday, we had two couples over with their babies for dinner. It was fun, but the party was over by 8pm - sign of the times :)

Today, we took Liam swimming and then we had some other friends over. Liam is doing really well and is quite the social butterfly -smiling and cooing at everyone. Check out the photos below of the little guy...

Liam's Play Group

Yesterday, Liam had his friends over to hang out. He loves to be around other babies. He happens to be the "baby" of the group as they are all 6 months or older, but he holds his own! This is one cute baby group. We get together once a week for some group play time.

4 Months Old...

We didn't mention last week that Liam was four months old on the 18th and had a doctor's appointment. He weighed in at 13 lbs 4 ounces(quite trim), but he was almost 27 inches long!! He is doing really well and growing so fast.

We had more snow on Sunday which caused a long drive home from the mountains on Sunday. It was a great weekend of skiing.

Sorry we have not been updating the blog as often lately, but we have been busy. We hope to be more diligent in the coming weeks.

The first Roll...

Sorry it's been some time since I updated the blog but we've been busy and I've had a cold so not really in the mood to see my computer after I get home from work.

Liam is doing really well and this morning (at 5:15am) he hit another development milestone by rolling from his back to his front. I'm not sure it was intentional as he wasn't very happy on his stomach...but he did it nonetheless.

We are off this weekend skiing again and have rented a condo with some friends. Annette will be heading to Florida in about 3 weeks to join my folks who are there for a few months - on the beach! I will join them all for a week as well so really looking forward to that - especially since Liam has been in the pool now it will be fun to swim with him outside.

Water bug...

This morning was another milestone in Liam's life (now 3 1/2 months old) with his first dip in a pool! We have a local recreation centre that we can use and they have a large pool and family area for swimming so we took him for his first swim today. We were a bit concerned he would not take to the water but after the first few minutes (with a confused look on his face) he relaxed and really enjoyed splashing around and kicking his feet.
Now that we know he likes it we plan to make it a regular family outing. I can't wait until he's old enough to learn to scuba dive and be my dive buddy :)

He is also still enjoying his 'bouncy' chair and particularily seems to like to look at himself in the mirror.....

First week of 07...

Our first week after the holidays was pretty uneventful and we now have the house back in order having taken down all the Christmas decorations. Liam is doing really well and over 13 pounds now - and he is growing incredibly each day!

As he loves to 'stand' now we decided to buy him a bouncy chair that allowed him to stand and swivel while playing with some 'onboard' toys. He loved it! Here are a few pictures of him...

Back in Denver

After a great 5 days in the mountains we are now all back in Denver. The Baran's all leave tomorrow and I have to go back to work so we headed back around 1pm today to beat the traffic.

The drive to the mountains on Thursday was in advance of the storm - or so we thought - here are a few pictures of the road. You can't get a good feel for how scary it was but this might give you some idea!
