More Fun in the Sun!

Yesterday we spent the day at the resort by the pool, it was another gorgeous day. Carin, Ryleigh and Evan hung out with us and we had a great time! After everyone napped we headed to downtown Scottsdale for dinner.

Visiting friends in Phoenix, AZ

Early in the morning Liam was up and excited about enjoying the day (at 5am!). We all got up and headed to breakfast (fantastic buffet) where I sat with the kids after Annette headed off to her spa appointment. She said it was the best spa experience she ever had - so successful.

Later in the morning we headed north of town to see our good friend's Carin and Chris and their kid's Ryleigh and Evan. It had been months since the kids saw each other, but they were soon playing together at the park and sharing each others corn-on-the-cob and ice cream. We met them in a really nice part of town where there was an art fair (a huge one!) on.

We headed back mid-afternoon with the kids napping in the car, and spent a quiet evening in the resort.

Trip to Phoenix

We all headed to Phoenix this morning at 6am for a 4 day holiday.

The trip was great and uneventful with both Liam and Lily being great little travelers. Liam was very excited and marveled led at the moving walkways in the airport.

We are staying at the Phoenician Westin Resort (on points) and are in a great suite - which we're thankful for! We had a great room and Annette (above) even had a cocktail at lunch!
We had a great lunch at the hotel on the terrace, then headed to the pool for the afternoon. Liam met some little friends at the kids pool and even "went under" the water trying to keep up with his 3 and 4 year old 'friends'.

Heading to Phoenix

Bright and early this morning, we left the house with LOTS of stuff(car seats, two small luggage and snacks of course!) for the airport. Liam was very excited about going to Arizona and flying down in an airplane, it was very sweet.

We got to the airport in plenty of time and were able to take advantage of the airport lounge while we waited for our flight. Liam enjoyed watching the airplanes and Lily enjoyed having her blown out diaper change ; )

Below you will see the kids enjoying the "lounge" area. This is Liam's first big boy flight and he is earning his first United frequent flyer miles....

Our friend Ania was kind enough to take some family shots of us all this morning.  Getting a 2 year old and 9 week old to cooperate for a family shot is of course impossible, so we did our best!

 

Happy Valentine's Day...

Liam and Lily have been celebrating the holiday with lots of friends, treats and crafts. Here are a few pics of the fun!

Long weekend in Denver...

We are just having a quiet weekend with the kids in Denver this weekend. Here is our smiling little girl!

A morning of culture with the kids...

Liam, Lily and I went downtown yesterday to the symphony concert hall for a Tiny Tots concert with the Denver Symphony orchestra. It was a great experience for all of us! Liam loved the music and the conductor made the whole concert very "kid"friendly and interactive. Then after wards, for a treat, we had lunch with daddy....

Moms Ski Day Out...

On Saturday morning, myself and four friends left at 6 am for a ski day out at Breckenridge. We couldn't have asked for a better day - the sun was shining and there wasn't any wind. We had a fabulous day out - even conquering a few double diamonds, not bad for a bunch of mommies!!
