Liam and Lily...

We went to Colin's (Heather and Joel's son) first year birthday party today and we had some fun playing outside (see shots off my blackberry of Liam's snowman), at the pool (no pics this time) and in the house doing projects, playing with Liam's trains  (he is a big Thomas fan) etc...

 

Snowy Weekend in March..

 

We had what what we hope was the last snowfall for the year on Thursday and Friday - about 14 inches.   It's already mostly melted but we'll likely have a bit of it for a few more days, then we're all looking forward to spring!

More Weekend Fun...

Ross left for Palm Springs this morning and experienced one of his worst flights yet (extraordinary shaking and turbulence, ugh!) and the kids and I enjoyed another beautiful day in Colorado. Saturday, Lily went to our local pool for the first time and we think she enjoyed it, although she was more mesmerized by her surroundings than her brother doing tricks nearby ; ) (We have all the moments caught on video...)

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo...

We took a day out today to visit the Zoo in Colorado Springs with the kids.  I took today off since my Sunday is going to be spent in Palm Springs delivering a talk at a conference, followed by a short trip to Seattle to see a client.  

We had a great day!  Lots of pictures below...

Liam enjoys his counting puzzle where he counts the number of 'things' and then matches the numbers...he's up to number 11 pretty reliably now!

A busy Weekend...

We had a great weekend and the weather has been really good too.   We went to a St. Patrick's Day party last night and then went to see Disney on Ice with the kids - great fun!

Below is the family at Disney on Ice.  Liam had never seen a show like it before and he really enjoyed it!  Lily...she pretty much just slept through it all as you' expect.

 

 

Birthday weekend in the Mountains...

We had a great weekend in Frisco for my 39th (ugh) birthday. We left Saturday morning and returned mid-day Sunday, having stayed with a friend of ours (Alistair) in his great place in Frisco.

Lily and Annette - a brief attempt to head into town but it started to snow (see Alistair below) ....we turned around and jumped in the car.

Above Liam is in a Frisco jail cell (at a museum) with Alistair...and below he is giving his little sister a check-up as "Dr. Liam Smith"

Below is Liam skiing for the FIRST time! We rented skis for him and found a place just off the road with a slight grade and fresh powder. We weren't sure how we'd like it but he loved it!

Last weekend in February
