End of the weekend

We had a great weekend - went to a birthday, played at the park, had a 'date night' and then we had friends over today who just moved from England. An old mate of mine (who I worked with in Poland) and his family recently moved to Denver, so we had them over for a welcome BBQ.

A week of milestones and stormy afternoons...

Liam started his new preschool this morning and his first day went without a hitch! He ran into the playground this morning and was having fun right away. Until I asked for a hug, all I got was a wave from the slide and a "bye, mommy"(sniffle, sniffle). Liam was all smiles when I picked him up and happy to see me. We hope his enthusiasm for school continues!

On Sunday, Liam went to his first baseball game. Our neighbors Marty and Jan were nice enough to organize great seats! We watched the Colorado Rockies against the San Francisco Giants. Our home team did really well and Liam enjoyed cheering for every home run. He was also happy to watch Dinger the Dinosaur get the crowd excited.

Lily is 8 months....

We are back in Colorado after a great vacation in Canada. The kids are still adjusting back to being home, but are happy to be back. On Sunday, we visited the Denver Botanic Gardens and saw the dinosaur exhibit and took a few photos.

We still can't believe it, but Lily is 8 months old already. She is a very determined little girl and enjoys standing and "walking" around more than anything. She wants to be a part of the action. Lily is not crawling yet, but very close. She is a very sweet girl and gets along with her brother really well!

The Last days at the Cottage

We enjoyed our last days at the cottage with more relaxing, boating and having fun! We visited one of the local towns during the week and went to the Carnival. Liam went on lots of rides and his first Ferris Wheel! Lily has really been changing before our eyes and has been wowing the crowd with her "princess" waves and clapping. Also, Liam has discovered a new favorite dessert, smores! What is not to love....

As always it was nice to have so much time with the whole Smith Family together.

Day 6 at the cottage

We are all having a great time despite the changing weather. We have had lots of sun, but the temperature could have been warmer. The kids certainly don't seem to mind and are having fun, wading in the water, fishing and searching for frogs along the shore. Our evenings have been nice, so Ross, as the official "pyro guy" of the family has been building great campfires that are perfect for roasting marshmallows!

Annette has mastered skiing and I have been enjoying jumps on my wakeboard - that is until this morning when I took a massive fall! Ouch.

We are also enjoying lots of time on the boat, taking cruises on the lake and also getting the kids(and adults) on the tube.

It is really nice to see Liam and Lily playing so well with their cousins Devon and Kieran, they are all having a ball!

Day 2 at the cottage

We all arrived at the cottage and I've been waking boarding, Annette went skiing (first time!) and just having fun in general.
