A day out with Thomas

Liam had a blast today during our visit to the Colorado Railroad Museum's Day out with Thomas. We got to go on a Thomas train ride, pet a few goats, and they had lots of other fun activities! (Ross has included a "before" photo of our basement, as construction on its finishing starting this week, gulp!)

Liam's 3rd Birthday

Today Liam had a good time celebrating his birthday at school; then we had a little cake for him with our neighbours (Jan and Marty) before heading to his t-ball 'practice'.

He seemed to enjoy his new bike!

Liam's 3 year old birthday party

Liam had a great time with all his friends at My Gym, a local indoor play area for kids that we were able to use for his birthday party. He was genuinely pleased to be the center of attention the whole time and played pretty much till he dropped!

On Saturday, Liam and I had a 'father and son' day out at the Zoo - it was great fun for us both as we fed the giraffe's; Liam road Rocket (pony); a merry go round and a train! Busy morning.

Lily is 9 months old!

Lily is nine months old, how time flies!! She is on the move and crawling everywhere, especially toward Liam's toys and wanting to be in the action at all times. She is babbling a lot and has a voracious appetite...not picky at all - unlike her brother ; ) She is a smiley happy little girl and we can't believe how big she is getting.

Last weekend of summer...

We had a fun weekend celebrating the "last" weekend of the summer by going to the pool, visiting a few local parks and going on a hike. We took The Finleys, who just moved here from England, to our favorite hiking spot and we all had a great morning out!

Handsome Liam

Our little guy is looking handsome in his vest (he picked it!) and despite his hair cut. It has to be the WORST haircut on the planet...poor guy. The lady at our local hair dressers is FIRED!

Lovely Lily...

Lily is on the move...

Lily crawled for the first time yesterday evening! She had been in 'almost crawl' mode for the past 2 months it seems, getting into position then falling just short of actually crawling. Well, last night she did it!

Liam joined a T-Ball 'team' (he's the red team - note the t-shirt) and he and I had a great time at practice throwing the ball and learning to hit and run the bases.
