Last day of 2010

Lily had her first hair cut today. She had her blanket with her and I had to hold her hands, but she was very good and looks great.

We took a trip to the mountains today so Lily and Liam could get out on the slopes for the first time this year, and the first time ever for Lily. Liam did really well and didn't want to stop; Lily took a few 'runs' but the timing wasn't perfect (right at nap time) so she didn't last too long. However, she did really well for her first time out!

Merry Christmas 2010

We had a great Christmas at the Smith's here in Denver yesterday. Annette's parents arrived on the 24th so we had a full house of Smith's and Baran's to celebrate with the us and the kids.

I decided not to deep fry the turkey this year (I have the past 2) and I have to say it turned out pretty well from the oven - traditional style.

Liam loved his hotwheels set and I think it will be a hit with his other friends when they come to play too.

We tried a few times to do family pictures by the tree, but getting all the kids at once in front of the tree and cooperative for a picture proved challenging, so we took a few free-style shots.

Lily got a new purple blanket with Tinker Bell on it. Big hit since she loves fairies and her favorite color is purple (good choice Grandma and Grandpa Smith)

Making Cookies...

Today was pajama day and baking cookie day in the house. As Christmas approaches we needed to carry on our tradition of baking cookies and then decorating all the sugar cookies. The kids had a huge hand in the whole process, but especially enjoying icing their treats!

Luke turned 8 months old yesterday and is doing very well. He has finally taken to eating pureed baby food and is sleeping through the night again! I'm sure Santa will bring him something nice ; )

Zoo day!

It was the most perfect day for the zoo on Sunday and everyone had a great time. The weather was mild, there were no crowds and the animals were ready to say hi!
