Five and counting

On Sunday, I set out with three friends to do some hiking and climb some mountains. We managed to climb three 14ers. We fell short of our goal of four because of weather, but Mt. Democrat, Mt. Cameron and Mt Bross were major accomplishments.

Mt. Evans 2011

We are back in Colorado and settling back after being away. We have been getting the kids ready for school and enjoying the last few weeks of summer vacation.

Today we decided to drive to Mt. Evans one of the tallest mountains in Colorado with the highest road in all of America(very scary hair pin turns). The weather was not the most cooperative and we had some sun, some clouds and even moments of hail and rain. Despite the weather, Liam and mom took the rocky trail and reached the peak. Unfortunately, because the weather was so bad, during our walk, I couldn't take the camera.
