Touring Vancouver

It was a rainy and chilly day today, so a pink double-decker tour bus was the way to see the city best today! Liam was very excited to ride a double decker for the first time and the kids could not wait to go to the aquarium.

We had a nice day out despite the terrible weather ; ( Granville island kids market was a hit and a nice lunch spot that Lily and Luke slept through!

Vancouver BC

We arrived in Vancouver in the early afternoon and excited to explore the city. The weather was warm and sunny for a change and the streets crowded! We walked down Robson, grabbed the kids some hot dogs then headed back to the hotel for some pool and hot tub time. The hot tub was particularly foamy and we had fun making beards ; ) We enjoyed being above the city in the roof top pool! We put the kids to bed and then headed out for a quiet dinner and drink out.

The Locks and Fish ladder

We all took a trip the Ballard Locks and watched the salmon run in the fish ladder. It was a fun morning!

Medina Beach

We headed to the beach this morning. It was a beautiful sunny day! The kids met some friends to play with and they all had a good time. They found a small dead fish that they "observed", they played in the sand and waded in the water. Poor Luke got stung by a bee just as we were leaving. Fortunately it wasn't major and the pain passed quickly!

Enjoying a fun "sun" day!

We went for a walk and played at a forest playground at Discovery Park today. It had a really cool zip line seing that all the kids had a turn on at the park.Afterwards we went to the beach at Golden Gardens Park but according to Liam it smelled bad and we cut the visit short for an ice cream break ; )
