Dying Easter eggs

The tradition lives on and in preparation for Sunday, we were dying eggs today!

Ellis Island Fair

Liam has been learning about Ellis Island at school and working on a special project over the last few weeks. He chose to write a report about Poland which included a story about Babcia and dziadzio
coming to America. He also prepared a paper doll that represented traditional Polish dress. Finally, yesterday, the second grade class performed songs about coming to America, then they took their "passports" to immigration agents, answered questions and were then welcomed to America. The fair ended with all tht kids trying foods from around the world. Liam's favorite was our Polish Kielbasy!

Friends' birthdays

Last weekend we celebrated Josie's 6th birthday at Red Robin with burgers and milkshakes. On Saturday Lily went to a princess party to celebrate Iona's 5th birthday. There was a special appearance by Rapunzel. Sunday was a snowy cold day and we went to see Mr. Peabody and Sherman.
