Snow weekend

Annette was away in Brussels visiting some old friends so The kids and I enjoyed the first real snow day in Kraków

Winter finally arrived in Krakow...

Liam returns!

For the past week Liam has been with 54 other kids from school in Italy skiing and having a great time.    They left last Friday evening at 10pm (by bus) and arrived the next day at about 2pm!   They had a week of skiing, snowshoeing, sledding and fun.

Liam was not the least bit nervous about going (8 year olds were the youngest amongst the 54 students, up to age 15 yr).   He was placed in an advanced ski group based on ability (so was the youngest) and even won 3rd place (bronze) in a ski slalom race (beating out the older kids!).

We are really proud that Liam chose to spend a week away skiing in Italy and showed that he is an independent and mature young man!   Having said that, we are thrilled to have him home with us as we all missed him!

Krakow-Prague-Budapest-Krakow - a 4 day loop

Jonathan and I spent the past 4 days touring Eastern Europe - had a great time although some cold weather and  sleepless nights (on the trains)!
