Happy Halloween

The kids had a great time dressing up yesterday. Liam was a penguin, Lily was a leopard - she even tried to 'growl' like one (see pic with her tongue out). Annette's parents are here for a long weekend so we had fun yesterday at the Aquarium and if the weather is 65 F again (which it should be) then we're all going to "boo at the Zoo" for the morning.

Also, the basement is about 3 weeks from being finished and it's looking great!

More snow in October!

The kids and I have been snowed in for the last two days as a "fall" blizzard blows through Denver. Yesterday was fun and a novelty, but after today we are getting cabin fever. Ross hopes to arrive back this evening and all looks good, however it will be a long ride home from the airport.

We are keeping busy indoors with Halloween stickers, coloring and baking cookies. We also have been outside to shovel and Liam LOVES playing in the snow. He "helped" me shovel, discovered snow diving off the front steps and we attempted digging out a fort. All good snowy fun, finished off with a snowball fight....

Lily is walking!

Today Lily has taken her first two steps from mommy to daddy. She is quite proud of herself and it is still quite shaky, nonetheless she will be keeping up with Liam in no time! The best part, is here daddy was here for this very important "first" ; )

We had our first taste of winter this week when a few "flurries" turned into 6 or more inches. Liam couldn't wait to play in the snow and we built a small snow man, however Lily is not yet outfitted for the snow and watched in frustration through the window.

It is only October, way too soon, but as usual the sun has come out, the warmth is back and the snow is gone already!
