It was great to see though and after a few hours watching it all we headed off for breakfast, and by 9am we were off to the Zoo. Fortunately the weather warmed up and we were all in t-shirts soaking up the sun.

Albuquerque NM, Balloon Festival and then the zoo
We drove down from Denver (6.5 hrs) on Friday afternoon and arrived in Albuquerque, New Mexico about 8:30pm. We were all in bed and alseep by 9pm, as we had to get up at 4:45am in order to get to the Balloon Festival and see the early morning launches. Fortunately the kids were great and we were all in the car in no time, but it was unexpectedly COLD out so our adventure was a challenge at time with 3 cold kids (and Annette and I were cold too!).
