Today we visited the Island of Lokurum (we took a ferry from Dubrovnik and it only took 15 minutes) and walked around the small Island. We got to see the “dead sea” and some pretty cool rock formations (see pics), but a few things happened along the way…1. Liam got severely bashed in the shins by some outdoor fitness equipment that we played on, and got 3 deep gashes in his shins; then 2. Lily tripped on the sharp volcanic rock and cut her foot and 3. Luke walked into the water (salt water) while we were just walking along and he got his feet soaked…but he didn’t seem to mind at all. Everyone is okay, but there was some drama.
Then we got back to Dubrovnik about 4pm so we decided to find the spot described in a Rick Steeves video ….it described a cool spot to watch the sunset and so that is where we hung out for about an hour till the sun dropped just before 4:50pm. Annette and I walked to the bus station in the evening to get tickets for our bus to Budva…we depart 11am tomorrow!
(ps. the flat we rented off AirBnB has been great…aside from the fact that the main room has a heater, but none of the bedrooms do…so the evenings have been pretty chilly in our bedrooms!)
